The short version. Use WelcomePing kindly and lawfully. Cards show what their owners chose to share. We work hard to keep things running, but we cannot promise it will always be available.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use the website at welcomeping.com or open a digital business card hosted on it. The service is powered and managed by Hourglass Essentials Private Limited ("Hourglass", "we", "us"). By using the website or opening a card, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
If your organisation has ordered cards from us, your agreement with CompanyStore.IO or Hourglass covers that order. These terms cover everyone else, and everyone who opens a card.
What WelcomePing is
WelcomePing creates and hosts digital business cards. A card is a web page that shows contact details and links, and lets a visitor save the contact to their phone.
Using cards and this website
- Use them lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use & Takedown policy.
- Do not try to break, overload, scan for weaknesses in, or gain unauthorised access to the website or its hosting.
- Do not copy cards in bulk, or collect details from cards to send unsolicited messages.
- Use contact details only for the purpose they were shared for, which is to get in touch with that person about their work.
Content on cards
The details on a card are provided by the cardholder or their organisation, and they are responsible for them being accurate and lawful. We do not check every detail. If you think a card is wrong or harmful, tell us using the steps on our report page.
Our property
The WelcomePing name, logo, design, text and software belong to Hourglass or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission. The details, names, logos and photos on a card belong to the people and organisations that provided them.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep cards available all the time, but we may pause or change the service for maintenance or other reasons. We may remove or edit a card at the organisation's request, or if it breaks these terms or the law.
No warranties
The website and cards are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the details on a card are accurate or current.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Hourglass is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the website or a card. Where the law does not allow us to exclude liability, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Links to other sites
Cards link to websites and apps we do not control. We are not responsible for them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using WelcomePing after a change, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of India, at the place of our registered office, have jurisdiction over any dispute.
