The short version. WelcomePing has no accounts, sets no cookies and shows no ads. A card shows only the details that a person or their organisation chose to put on it. We use those details to run the card, nothing else. We never sell them.
Who we are
WelcomePing is powered and managed by Hourglass Essentials Private Limited ("Hourglass", "we", "us"), which also operates CompanyStore.IO. This policy covers the website at welcomeping.com and the digital business cards we host on it.
Whose information this covers
- People on a card. Employees or members of an organisation whose details appear on a WelcomePing card.
- People who open a card. Anyone who taps an NFC card, scans a QR code or follows a card link.
- People who write to us. Anyone who emails us or uses a contact link on this site.
What information we handle

We do not ask the people who open a card for any information. Opening a card does not require an account.
What we do not do
- We do not set cookies, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this site or on cards.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not use card details for marketing.
- We do not build profiles of people who open cards.
The card designer
The card designer on this website runs entirely in your browser. The logo, text and colours you add are not sent to us. Your browser keeps your latest design on your device so you can come back to it, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes it. If you choose to email us your design, we receive whatever you send.
Who decides what appears on a card
When an organisation orders WelcomePing cards, it gives us its team's details and decides what goes on each card. The organisation is responsible for telling its people what is shared and for having the right to share it. We handle those details on the organisation's instructions. If you are on a card and want something changed or removed, you can ask your organisation or write to us directly.
Who can see a card
A card is available to anyone who has its link, which includes anyone who taps or scans the physical card. We ask search engines not to list cards, but we cannot control who a person shares their link with. When someone saves a contact, the file is created on their device. We do not receive a copy.
Who we share information with
- Service providers that host this website and the cards. They may store data on servers outside India.
- Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect people from harm.
We do not share card details with anyone else.
Third-party services
This website loads the Manrope font from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to get it, which shares your IP address with Google. Google's own privacy policy applies to that request. Cards link to other sites that the cardholder chooses, such as LinkedIn, and those sites have their own policies.
How long we keep information
- A card stays live for as long as the organisation wants it. When a card is removed, it disappears from the live site with the next update.
- We keep archived copies of previously published versions so we can restore an earlier version if something goes wrong. If you ask us to erase your details, we will remove them from these archives as well.
- Hosting providers keep technical logs for the period set by their own policies.
- We keep emails you send us for as long as needed to deal with them, and for any period the law requires.
How we protect information
We serve every page over HTTPS and limit who can publish or change cards. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle.
Children
WelcomePing is for business use and is not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly put the details of a child on a card.
Your rights
You have rights over your personal information, including to ask for access, correction and erasure. They are explained in our Data Protection Notice, along with how to raise a complaint.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so on the home page.
